The life and times of the Virginia Woodfords - Patrick, Meaghan, Kasper and Emmett. Because we're only as far away as a mouse click... or a plane ticket!
The Easter Bunny snuck into our house last night and left enough candy to turn Kasper into a little sugar-powered cyclone. Next time he'll have to find a better hiding place for his stash than a basket of festively-colored plastic eggs:
Also left behind was a super-cool carpenter's set with tool belt, backpack, tape measure and some snappy suspenders in a rainbow print:
It may be a holiday, but he's still a "working man" at heart!
Kasper had a great time with his Grammie and Grandpa Woodford last weekend. Here's a video of him basking in the light of Grammie's attention:
And yes, that's Grandpa and Daddy geeking out to Star Wars in the background. Kasper watched a few minutes and was instantly hooked -- now whenever he says "ray guns" we know what he's asking for.
Here Grandpa and Kasper sit riveted as Luke and Company try to escape the trash compactor:
Kasper uncorks his "gyroball" on Grammie:
Kasper and Grammie share a laugh:
It was terrific to see my folks again and show off our boy. Kasper had a blast -- although he threw in a couple of explosive, red-faced tantrums to show he's an official two-year-old now.
Grammie and Grandpa barely got out of D.C. before we were walloped with our last (fingers-crossed) storm of the year. Kasper played outside all morning, eating his own weight in snow (only the white kind, of course):
Kasper enjoys a hot cocoa break with his buddies. I guess he likes to have an audience. Good thing his Woodford grandparents are showing up tonight (the pandas are getting sick of hearing the complete narration of what happens when the trash truck shows up)!
FYI: The folks at Poison Control are very nice. And no annoying prompts - you get a real person right away. That is very helpful if you live with Kasper.
Everyone is fine.
Crazy, but fine.
(And that's tomato sauce all over him in the photo.)
Kasper asked for a slice of lime in his cranberry juice spritzer (which is the fancy code word I use for Mama watering down his juice). This kid is so ready for Cayman.
A rare occasion of "Mama do" instead of "Kasper do"
Mmmm, delicious! (We really should get this kid in TV commercials.)
Another rare sight - taking turns (also known as sharing).
Limey goodness!
Is he ready for some football? Oh, yeah.
(OK, you caught me. I took this photo with the intention of using it Superbowl weekend and didn't quite make it. But it's too cute not to share.)
