Big hunk 'o' love

Someone just discovered his feet are as much fun to chew on as his hands.

Workin' up a sweat

Kasper spent a week with Mema and Grandpa down in North Carolina, leaving his dad at home with no pictures to post. But he came back on Friday and brought along a motherlode of stuff, including this new exer-saucer, which he's bouncing around in as we speak. I'll post a video so you can see the exer-saucer in action -- he's a wild man when he gets going!

My baby's momma

Life began with waking up and loving my mother's face.

— George Eliot

I can honestly say I never doubted for a moment that Meaghan would be a great mother. Watching her over the past four months become that person -- the confident, patient nurturer I always saw in her -- has been amazing. And the result of all her hard work couldn't be more perfect; a quick glance back through the photos posted here will show you that.

When you consider everything mothers do, giving them just one day in return is hardly an even trade. But you could spend your life trying to repay everything your mother did for you, and you'd still finish up to your eyeballs in debt. So I'll just wish a pleasant, stress-free day to all you mothers out there, including my own mom, to whom I owe so much. And to Kasper's mom, I'll just say 'Happy first Mother's Day, sweetheart. Didn't I say you'd be great at this?'

Growth spurt

There's literally no way to describe how big Kasper's gotten. He went to the doctors today and tipped the scales at 18 pounds, 14.6 ounces -- that's off the charts! He's 27¾ inches tall -- again, off the charts. No steroids, no HGH -- just 100 percent natural baby. Of course, he's growing so fast it's tough to find clothes that fit, as you see here from this unretouched photo of his latest rampage through the city.

Dirty Kasper

"I know what you're thinking, punk. Has he filled six diapers today, or is it only five? Well, in all the excitement I kind of lost track myself. So I guess you just gotta ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya', punk?"
